Student housing converted from Bristol office block

Froomsgate House, a 15 storey former office block in the centre of Bristol is being converted into student accommodation. Built in 1971, the brick clad block’s open plan office floors are no longer suitable for business use, and will instead provide 438 bedrooms for the city’s booming student population with the new name Fusion Tower. Working with main contractor Vinci, and specialists HE Sims and Fusion Fire, Adexsi has been asked to develop and install a VeriPower smoke ventilation system. As with many conversions, the challenge comes in fitting the required ductwork within the restricted spaces of the existing structure.
